The 643Pest Network is the State of Hawaii's system for the public to report invasive species sightings. The network includes the 643-PEST (643-7378) telephone hotline
and the 643pest.org online reporting system. Reports are assessed by either the Hawaii Department of Agriculture or the Hawaii Invasive Species Council.
What are we looking for? We're interested in any type of invasive species (see HISC
Invasive Species Profiles),
whether it impacts agriculture, natural resources, human health or our way of life in Hawaii. Special attention will be given to invasive species that are observed in areas where they haven't been seen before.
This includes
new plants, insects and animals that are in the initial stage of introduction to the state or to a particular island.
